Description
Expanding Recruitment consultancy requires experienced recruiters from the mature UK market to work within their Maltese office. Working across a niche market you will focus on either the IT, Sales, Marketing or Accounting verticals. As a proactive sales driven recruiter you will develop your desk in a full 360 fashion utilising your proven skills of new business development gaining business from pan-european clients across a wide region as well as proactively building your candidate base which will range across the salary brackets of £40k to £500k pa.
This role and company is ideal for the well trained recruiter who has had enough of the restrictions corporate style consultancies have as their culture as this is very different - its much more of a relaxed but hard working style. You can leave the pin stripped suit and umbrella in the UK, this is a professional yet casual styled business who prefers their staff to worry about making money more than what tie (or scarf) to wear ! (unless of course you have to meet a client face to face).
You will be expected to be actively hitting the phones in a role that will give you the freedom and autonomy you desire. This management team is very supportive and the company has hired an industry experienced trainer who is on hand to help you develop all aspects of your duties and career. They encourages a relaxed, non micro-managed way of working but will sit down at the end of each month to help you look at your stats and targets and help you move your desk forward. With a meritocratic culture in place everyone is given the chance to do well and look at further career progression.
PERSON SPEC: You must have either
1. Stable career history with proven sales skills
2. Skilled IT recruiters would be the ideal but this is open to strong sales personnel from other commercial markets
3. At least 2 years proactive B2B sales / recruitment experience
4. A commitment to relocation and an interest in being in Malta for the medium to long term
5. A mature approach to your work with a focused mind-set on being successful
6. Outgoing personality able to make a mark in the team.
7. Ambitious with lots of common sense
8. Able to take the initiative and not afraid to ask questions but inquisitive & capable of finding the answer out for yourself.
9. Confident people cant be a shrinking violet!
PACKAGE: Includes basic, excellent commission and relocation package
Circa 20k to 25k DOE + 10% of the first 10k, 20% of 10k and 20k and 30% over and above 20k.
PLUS quarterly accelerators / bounses that will top up your OTE when certain markers are hit.
ABOUT MALTA
LOCATION: I know Malta is a place you hadnt thought of but if you want to get out of the UK to sunnier climbs and dont want to go too far but far enough away yet still feels a little like home Malta is the ideal.
Malta is tucked just below Sicily and Italy and lies in the Mediterranean between Tunisia to its left and Greece to its right - how nice does that sound, like being on constant holiday ! !
COMMUNITY: What hits most people straight away is how polite and friendly everyone is. Malta is one the safest if not THE safest communities in Europe. Its a traditional Catholic country so a great place to bring up a family as very family orientated but for those who are single there is a good nightlife with clubs and bars. The population consist of 60,00 Expats on an island of only 400,000 inhabitants
LANGUAGE & SHOPPING: There are no language barriers here - everyone speaks English. Malta was an English colony until 1973 so is still Brit-friendly. Its practically home from home for those who cant go without their beans on toast ! !
Many of the products you would find in the UK supermarkets can be found in Malta and the wines are very well priced too.
SUNSHINE: The weather is great, in fact last weekend was a nice 27 degrees and the summers are much hotter just what you would expect from the Mediterranean
EDUCATION: If you have children they can go FREE of charge to a Maltese school or you can pay for international schools You get a lot more fro your money when renting and you can buy a property but it takes a little while to finalise the process. A 1-2 bedroom apartment is only £400 a month and there is NO council tax to pay.
