Skilled UK or Australian recruiters who are interested in working in the emerging China market are required by growing Recruitment business that is expanding across the China region both in team numbers & office locations. Headed by a well traveled, supportive hands-on / lead front the front MD who has experience of the UK and Asia Pac recruitment markets and has big plans to grow the business. This company is set for immense growth in an exciting China market and the MDs style is to take his staff on the journey with him.
The offices are a mix of contingent & retained business focused on the Mid-to-Senior level markets supplying personnel generally with at least 3 years PQE within the £50k to £150k salary brackets across a range of sectors including Accountancy, Finance & Banking, FMCG, Media, HR, Manufacturing, IT & Technology, Sales & Marketing etc.
With aggressive growth plans over the next year or so they want to add in ex-pat skills using recruiters ideally from the UK or Australian markets who are used to driving their business forward through proactive sales (phone based and F2F) with targets and KPIs – but in a grown up, meritocratic style – the MD doesn’t want to have to baby-sit or micro-manage anyone!
BANKING TEAM LEADER & CONSULTANTS
Ideally for this role you will base yourself in the Beijing office (but the company could consider Shanghai). This role is for a senior recruiter who can come in and develop an already warm client base. Currently working in the Private Equity / Front Office/ Retail banking arena but have the contacts to develop Mid & Back / other banking specialisms so are interested in anyone who can add value to the Banking team as well as head it up.
As you develop in your role you will develop a larger team of billers around you and eventually the dual desks of Perm and Contract will become single focus with consultants covering either Contract positions or Perm vacancies across the China market.
Clients are MNCs / Fortune 500 businesses and you’ll focus on attracting the very best talent to the region in a full 360 sales, service and delivery function which will include head-hunting, networking, internet advertising as well as database and internal Intranet searches.
PACKAGE: A basic between £30k and £38k (34.000 RNB per month / circa 408,000 RNB a year) plus team bonus plus commission plus the opportunity of shares based on performance

PERSON SPEC:
Business isn’t hard to get but does need proven, proactive skills developed in the mature and competitive UK / Aussie markets
1. Western trained recruiters who have at least 3 – 5 years in the recruitment markets
2. Hungry recruiter who can jump on the phone and are unafraid of high volume sales or targets
3. Serious results driven phone guns who know how to develop business both face to face and over the phone
4. Skilled recruiters who can hit the ground running and bring an infectious drive and determination style with them
5. Ambitious recruiters who can develop a market and a team around them in a lead from the front style
6. Inquisitive, excited and passionate about people and recruitment
7. ideally graduates as makes the Visa process easier
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organisational skills
9. Target driven and hungry to successes
10. Experience working for an international company
11. Fluency in Mandarin and English would be fab but not essential
ABOUT THE LOCATION
So China hasn’t been somewhere you had thought of – work wise you will enjoy lot of networking events such as evenings at the Embassies and socially there are great bars and clubs with lots going on in the ex-pat community
For around £800 a month (8400 RNB) you can live in the most luxurious of settings on the Upper East Side of Beijing in a fab 2 bedroom apartment that would for the equivalent cost tons more in Sydney or London
For those that smoke cigarettes are a £1 and you can get western products like good old Baked Beans ! ! !
