Empresaria Results 2006

Multi-sector recruiter Empresaria reported a pre-tax profit of £2.13m for 2006, up from £1.61m a year earlier.

Revenue rose to £75.5m from £54.1m. The group said the figures reflected solid investments during the year in businesses acquired in Asia, Continental Europe and the UK.

On current trading, chairman Tony Martin (pictured) said: “Investments made in start up companies during 2006 are now beginning to bear fruit. When combined with the contribution from more established companies operating in growing markets, this potent mixture gives confidence for the current year.”

Earlier this month the company announced it was acquiring a 60% stake in German firm Headway for £9.9m.

Empresaria is now in 14 countries worldwide.
