Empresaria, the AIM listed recruitment group, touched a record high on optimism ahead of annual results due within the next month or so.

The group, which has interests in the IT and support service sectors, is also believed to be looking at acquisitions to broaden its reach further.

Shares rose from 10p to 113p, having started the month at 96p.
